At first I did not manage Boxcryptor to recognise the encfs crypted folders of my Linux Ubuntu/Mint LTS box. Then I discoverd that I need to update the old 1.5 encfs (see here). After updating encfs as described in „Howto: encfs unter Ubuntu, Mac OS X und FreeBSD installieren“ everything works like a charme.
